Angels there are and each person, if he so chooses, has at least one assigned to him to guide him through his earth life.

Life on earth is a learning experience and to be of any value has to consist of a series of challenges many of which are painful to meet. The Stages of
Evolutionary Growth

The pattern of evolution may be broadly banded into seven stages with the seventh being that of full awareness.

The First Stage

The operation of free will has become suspended at this stage. Here the purpose of the grand design of evolutionary growth is to get the soul back to a stage where it will once again be capable of exercising free will.

The Second Stage

The soul has reached a state of awareness which makes it possible for it to achieve reintegration in one unit.
Earth existence is only a part of the second stage. The soul has many options from which to choose, such as life on other planets.

The Third Stage

This is a stage of reevaluation and reflection. From now on the question of place doesn't arise because there is no materialisation. However, if you want to have some image of place, you can imagine weightless beings with all the freedom and space of air and more besides.

The Fourth Stage

The soul has now reached a full acceptance of its place in God and a full appreciation and understanding of all its experiences since it began its fall from awareness and of how these experiences fitted into the grand design.

The Fifth Stage

The fifth stage is rather like the third in the sense that it is again a stage mainly of reflection and reevaluation.
The soul becomes aware of the whole sweep of the grand design and is given an opportunity to study it in all its aspects. It can literally see love infusing all life.

Seventh Stages

The sixth stage is really a broadening out of the fourth. It's one of the marvelous experiences in store for every soul on the way back to awareness. Once the broadening out is achieved the soul is at the seventh stage

Awareness

I agree entirely that to be aware is, amongst other things, to be without the scars of accumulated experience. The path to awareness - full awareness - involves getting rid of the scars.

Prayer - II

Every soul has a complete and absolute right to freedom. Prayer may be an infringement of that right in many ways. For example, a person who prays that another might be converted to a particular way of thinking, such as acceptance of a religious belief, is trying to influence that person's right of choice. Appearance -
Higher States

Each soul creates its own distinct impression and is much more clearly identifiable, although in non-material form, than a soul housed in a physical body.

Good and Evil

Good is awareness or the state of awareness which each soul has retained or regained or a combination of both.
Evil is non-awareness or the state of non-awareness in which the soul is at any given time.

Fear

You are a spirit being, part of God. There is no other spirit being greater or lesser than you; all are equal in God. God is perfect, infinite and eternal. Therefore you are perfect, infinite and eternal. Therefore you are indestructible and your condition of apparent imperfection is only temporary (you are trying to regain awareness of your perfection). Therefore there is nothing to fear.

Charity

Communication with guidance coupled with the respect due to each soul as a part of God will ensure that your charity will never be misdirected. Obviously, kindness to each and every soul is an integral part of that respect. This is the ongoing charity which is a commonplace part of daily living.

Change

The subconscious is, in effect, a memory bank of accumulated experiences which have been abortive as lessons to be learned and are therefore still undischarged, in a manner of speaking. Recurrences of the experiences, or similar types of experiences, trigger off emotional responses in the inactive (unaware) part of the mind.

Meditation

Meditation is essential towards growth in awareness. I don't mean that it is necessary to sit down or lie down or whatever for a specific period of time each day and meditate, although that may be very helpful. Ideally, the whole day can be a period of meditation through the way in which all its activities are approached.

Random Thoughts

You find that having a specific topic for meditation helps to focus the mind but that random thoughts still keep intruding. How do you stop that happening? Instead of brushing the thoughts aside try observing each thought as it impinges on your consciousness. Hold it steady without reacting to it in any way no matter whether the thought itself disagreeable to you or not. After a little while it will fade away.

Picture the way to full awareness as a ladder. If souls could climb the ladder on their own there would be no need for guides. Experience has shown that they can't. This is as true of souls who have climbed all the way back to the seventh stage as it is of those who are at any of the other stages.

Life is a continuity. The mind doesn't undergo a miraculous transformation on the death of the body. All that happens is that it sheds its physical cage and is no longer subject to physical limitations.

Memory is a screen for the mind and is no longer operative once the mind regains its full awareness.

Time

Earth was designed as a vehicle for learning experience; a linear time sequence was a simple aid to learning; one experience would follow another and the lessons of earth would be absorbed in an orderly way. Always the primary object is growth in awareness; the progression of time as you know it is simply a device to help to achieve that object.

By and large people have not believed in themselves. They wanted to believe in a power outside of themselves which regulated birth and death and much of what happened in between. Orthodox Christianity met that need; if the need did not exist Christianity would not have developed the way it did.

Second Coming

What gave rise to the belief in a second coming was the fact that while Jesus ostensibly came to save the world it was obviously not saved by the time he left.
In a totally spiritual sense the concept of a second coming is very real. It is a continuum in that Jesus is, of course, ceaselessly helping others.

Grace

I would define a state of grace as a feeling of oneness with all life, a harmonious condition in which all beings, things, happenings have their own place and are allowed to unfold themselves without interference. It is not a passive condition; rather it is active in the most effective possible way in that it is flowing with life, the creativity of life, and not a frustrating misuse of energy in attempting to swim against the tide.

As a general rule, each soul, prior to reincarnation, chooses, with the help of its guides, the pattern of its life on earth.

Trying to foretell the future is as old as time; that's an appropriate way of putting it since it's only in a framework of time that prophecy comes into its own.

Memory - II

Suppose that yesterday you researched a certain project. Today every detail is still vivid in your mind even though you're working on something different. While you're working you exclude yesterday's project from your consciousness but, if you wish, you can recall all the details of it. Memory hasn't yet created a barrier to recall. To me all is as yesterday or, more accurately, today. That is total consciousness. Memory - or forgetfulness, if you like - is no longer necessary.

Miracles

Really miraculous events such as the birth of a child or the blooming of a rose have been taken for granted because they are commonplace. But if these things can happen, is it any wonder that other things which are marveled at because of their rarity can also happen?

Possession

What's called possession is usually agitation of the subconscious, although it is, of course, possible for a spirit entity to control the mind of a human, if it is allowed to do so. However, it cannot take possession of the body. The design of the body is such that only one soul can inhabit it, and if that soul decided to leave the body in order to allow another to possess it the body would die.

Elaboration

From an awareness point of view it is very important that the place of non-human life within all life should be recognised and accepted. It is also very important that each individual animal, bird, etc. should be treated with respect and love. The Oversoul - I

The soul on earth is rather like a many-sided structure which is only showing one side of itself at a time.
Each soul in spirit, no longer constrained by a physical body with its brain and intelligence, and having thrown off the scales of unawareness and accepted itself fully, is a much more magnificent and glorious being than it can possibly appear to be while in the earth condition.

The soul on earth is using the earth experience to concentrate on an aspect of itself while all its other aspects are, in a sense, waiting around.

Except in comparatively rare instances people have not been given to eating each other (physically!), but in most other ways many of them behave towards each other, through the abuse of free will, in a much less civilised way than non-humans do.

Euthanasia: Suicide

It's a very unwise exercise for any person to pass judgment on another because of that person's manner of death - indeed, of course, to pass judgment for any reason. Each soul's plan is specially designed to cater for its needs, and, even if it deviates from it, the grand design will adjust to the deviation(s) and eventually all will be well for that soul.

In sexual matters, as with all others, it is most important (a) to respect absolutely the free will of each person and (b) to be free of all obsessions.

Politics and politicians play their own part in the grand design - in a more public and dramatic way than most others. Spiritually no particular activity has of itself greater value that another. An activity acquires value from its effects on the person who performs it.

Happens?

The circumstances in which a soul finds itself on transition vary with each individual soul and depend on its state (of mind) at the time of the death of the body.
The shuttered mind is the most impenetrable barrier of all against spiritual progress.

It is of course, part of the grand design that humans experience should not be generally aware of other souls around them; they are on earth to benefit from the human experience, which means limiting themselves to the constraints of earth and in trying to overcome them to learn whatever lessons they need to learn. The ideal thing, in my view, is to be able to combine unobtrusive communication (e.g., with guides) with day-to-day living so that one blends with the other and helps it.

The reason why souls don't generally remember their previous lifes on earth is in order to allow them to have a fresh start without the burden (of guilt, etc.) which remembrance would place on them.

Style

One of the big problems on the human scene is that so much time is devoted to knocking the style out of individuals, that is, their own style, and making them conform to somebody's else's. As awareness grows, the development, or, I should say, the expression of individual style is encouraged and ultimately there's no barrier to its expression.

God or love or feeling expressed itself into individual souls. Each soul has its own style which gives it its individuality but the link of feeling or love binds all souls and all their creativity and acts of creation into one unlimited whole. You will get some idea of the magnitude of the oversoul if you see yourself as having an unlimited range of feeling and thought in whatever field you choose to interest yourself at any time.

Games

The grand design accommodates in infinite variety of methods of raising awareness.
All happenings are games. The only reality is consciousness. And consciousness in its aware state is joy, happiness, bliss, all included in love. Any game that helps people to realise that more fully is worth playing.

Responsibility

Each soul can only take responsibility for itself. It cannot deny any other soul the right to take responsibility for itself. It's not a matter of choice; the possibility doesn't exists within the expression of God/love.

Many souls of advanced awareness have come, and still come, on earth from time to time to try to help others. A common characteristic of all those souls is their true humility; they have come to an acceptance of themselves as God and all that that means and they are trying to help all others find a similar acceptance for themselves. They don't look for devotion or worship, or to be regarded as gurus; in other words, they don't set out to personalise themselves as God.

When I talk of letting go I mean letting go of unawareness into awareness. The fundamental and essential starting point is acceptance that you and all souls are divine consciousness. Letting go of all fear into that consciousness follows in due course.

I suggest that you remind yourself constantly that you are divine consciousness temporarily using a physical framework.
You are your own consciousness but you are also linked to universal consciousness - like a wave in the sea. The wave has all the qualities of the sea and is the sea but is not all the sea - yet it is all in the sense that it is inseparable from the sea and is in unity with it.

Atlantis was designed as a model and a basis for a more extended form of evolution.

Since everything is the work of God, since each soul is divine, the Bible was, of course, divinely inspired. Much of it is allegorical.

Guides

As (if) the soul grows in awareness during its earth life it integrates itself more and more with the oversoul, which, in my terminology, is the higher self.
The function of guides (guardian angels) is to help the soul to integrate as far as possible with the oversoul.

Time and Space

In the world of spirit there's no time or space, just continually evolving consciousness.
The death of physical life allows transition and growth with the possibility of fresh starts. The linear time and space framework enables an aging process. Thus the body deteriorates and eventually gives up and the soul is then in a position to see how it evolved during its earth life.
Earth is an illusion in the sense that in eternal terms it has no reality.

Unconditional Love

Unconditional love means acceptance of people and situations, as they are, without judgement. That doesn't mean that you have to like the people (or aspects of them) or the situations, or that you don't want them to change.

Special Relationships

Full awareness means unconditionally loving relationship with all souls (oversouls). Within that there are special affinities which cover a wide range of souls. And, within the ambit of the special affinities, there are what are commonly called soul mates - wonderfully intimate relationships between two souls.

Shame

Constant theme running through our sessions is the necessity for each soul to free itself from conditioning. One of the strongest ingredients in conditioning is shame.
Shame is a product of lack of self acceptance, including, of course, acceptance of one's body.

Marriage

Marriage, as such, has no special significance in so far as expression of spirituality is concerned. Relationships, including relationships within marriage, do have, of course, great spiritual importance, both in the sense of general contact with the people in one's world, and also in more intimate contact with a special other or others.

Relation to Guides

Time and space are expressions of structure and, therefore, limitation. The world of spirit exists outside of structure and, accordingly, is unlimited in its expression. Guides retain memories of earth and its structures and, of course, those memories help them in dealing with human beings.
Guides want to convey the feeling of their freedom of spirit to their human charges.

In my view, the simplest and most effective way to keep one's aura clear (from all negative energies) is to ask one's guides to arrange it.

Abuse

Abuse in one form or another is a common feature of life on earth. Ideally, evolution is intended to operate in such a way that human beings will behave with greater awareness than animals. Forgiveness

Forgiveness of yourself for whatever you may have unawarely done or not done is an essential ingredient in unconditional love. Once you have forgiven yourself the question of forgiving others will be irrelevant: unconditional love means accepting others as they are, so there's nothing to forgive.

Reality

Everything on earth has a form or a structure and can be defined in that way. All structures are subject to change so that there's no such thing as continuity of physical form in static state. It follows that there's no fixed reality from a human point of view.

Free Will

It is because they have free will that all souls have opportunities and choices in designing broadly the purposes of their lives on earth.
A sense of mission or purpose, which some people have very strongly, is a result of a choice freely made.

There are permanent records of all soul's evolutionary journeys. The records are in divine consciousness and, therefore, in each soul/oversoul. Exploration (of the records) is easier as souls grow in consciousness and can be significantly helped through communication with guides.

One of the reasons why the evolutionary process is taking so long is that people feel that they don't deserve to be happy.
Everybody deserves to be happy. There can be no doubt about that because every soul is a part of God. Once people allow their own divinity the question of deservability no longer arises.

I would redefine sexual energy as creativity. All people are creative; it's impossible for a part of God not to be creative. Sexual energy, then, is inseparably linked with the overall creativity of being, and that energy is present in everybody without exception.

People as individuals actually own nothing on earth. (Contained in God they own everything.) They have a loan of things - their bodies, whatever they use, including of course, money. If they become obsessive about owning money - as indeed about any form of ownership - they block the flow of energy and place severe limitations on their growth in consciousness.

Auras

The aura, sometimes called the etheric body, is the spirit counterpart of the physical body. It is a body of light and can be seen as such. When people die they are recongnisably similar in their etheric bodies to their appearance in their physical bodies. All creation, including all planets, exists for the use of souls, who are always free to choose how they express themselves; in other words, at different stages they may choose to experience repeated lives on earth or lives on another or other planets or a combination of both. Imagination

In the non-physical (spirit) state it's easier to understand the reality of imagination. In the spirit state creation is instantaneous; all a soul has to do is to imagine something and it is. It's like, say, having a magic lantern, wishing for something, and there it is in front of you.

The word "utopia" has been incorporated into everyday language and is taken to mean an ideal condition or situation. Is utopia a possibility for the planet? Then planet earth will have fulfilled its purpose as a vehicle for regaining lost awareness and will truly be a divine playground.

Human Ignorance

Utopia?

Any community, any country, any continent, no mater how large, is a collection of individual souls. As they cooperate in expansion of consciousness anything is possible. Human beings have shown in many ways, often regrettably destructive ones, what they can achieve. Soul Mates

An intimate relationship does not necessarily need sexual expression or may not have sexual overtones except in the sense that the people involved may be of the same, or different, genders. Learning from animals

At present there are many souls in physical and non-physical states involved in finding ways to improve communication between the different states. Criticism

Criticism is a great leveler. It is probably the biggest barrier of all to self-exploration. It is all-pervasive in that it works both from the inside and the outside, the self-critic as well as the self-appointed one.
